As a part of the Security Monitoring team you will be responsible for the safety of all branch staff and the physical branch network, you will be conducting real-time monitoring of a national network of security alarms, sensors, and CCTV. The team identifies, assesses, escalates and responds to all forms of security incidents as well as providing support to other teams within Group Security. The monitoring team supports the global Group Emergency Hotline and assists with the end to end management of significant incidents.
Your new role
The Security Monitoring team is a team of experienced professionals that assist with the end to end management of significant incidents. They provide ongoing training, support and development to all their employees. They also pride themselves in having the best team environment that encourages work-life balance.
Key responsibilities will include
- Accurately report and escalate as necessary security incidents both within Australia and overseas from the Security Operations Centre with agreed SLA’s.
- Alarm monitoring
- Basic troubleshooting
- Respond to security breaches including physical injuries to staff and property
- Monitoring of CCTV footage
- Maintain an up-to-date focus on financial crime, security-related trends, and emerging issues, and share knowledge obtained.
- Perform all tasks related to the execution and completion of all monitoring services in the Securities Operations Centre (SOC) in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as per the documented SOP’s and Customer Value Proposition.
About you:
- Experience in a face-paced call centre or security experience is desirable
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable liaising with Police, ambulance and other emergency services.
- You will have a clear, concise communication style and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Ideally to have experience in the application and operation of physical & electronic security technology.
- An understanding of protective security issues within the banking and finance industry is preferred.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions and problem solve with due consideration to risks and outcomes
- Ability to liaise with and influence business stakeholders and suppliers.
