Randstad Digital is currently working with a global mining organisation to find an experienced Scrum Master to join a newly established project team. This is a contract until January 2026 with the view to extend past that point, based in either Brisbane CBD or Perth CBD.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Guiding and coaching the team on Agile methodologies and practices, in particular SAFe, helping them to understand and follow
- Promoting collaboration and effective communication within the team and across other teams in the Agile Release Train (ART)
- Working closely with the Product Owner and providing guidance on refining and prioritising the product backlog
- Shields the team from avoidable distractions, removing obstacles that affect the team's ability to meet project objectives
- Supports and educates Product Owners, particularly around grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Tracking team progress, producing status reports and handling issues, risks and dependencies
- Facilitating continuous improvement and nurturing the team’s agility
- Assists team with preparation for ART events such as PI Planning Fosters a culture of collaboration with other scrum masters, and builds a network with other agile champions across the organisation
Necessary Skills:
- Scrum Master certification(s) and SAFe certification(s)
- Experience in Agile Delivery and Implementation working as a Scrum Master (5+ years)
- Theoretical and practical experience utilising various Agile Methodologies including SAFe, Scrum and Kanban
- Experience working in IT for a global / multi-national, diversified corporation
- Operate as a HSE focused team leader to project teams and colleagues
