We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tech Lead – SAS to join our client's team and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing solutions within the Credit Risk domain. As a Tech Lead, you will work closely with business stakeholders, service owners, solution engineers, and line-of-business leads to deliver high-quality technical solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work with Credit Risk business stakeholders, service owners, and line-of-business leads to prioritise, assess, and size requirements and backlog.
- Business Requirements Translation: Support the translation of business needs into technical solutions and designs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Solution Architecture: Assist in developing solution architectures that ensure successful technology implementation while adhering to design principles and standards.
- Agile Leadership: Guide Agile teams through the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of technical solutions using full-stack tools, technologies, and DevOps processes.
- Incident Management: Provide root cause analysis for production incidents to identify design defects or requirements gaps and recommend effective solutions.
- Support & Documentation: Provide third-line support and contribute to the creation of high-level IT and business solution design documents.
- Cost Estimation: Deliver accurate and timely cost estimates for design and development phases in partnership with project managers, architects, and business analysts.
- Strategic Design and Deployment: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of strategic solutions supporting business projects.
Key Requirements:
- SAS Expertise: 3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead with expertise in SAS technologies including Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Management Console.
- Data Engineering: 5+ years of experience engineering complex data processes and working with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Python.
- Cloud and API Development: 3+ years of experience in cloud technologies (Azure, Synapse Analytic, CosmosDB) and API development (Java Spring, MVC).
- Data Integration: Hands-on experience with data warehousing, modelling, and integration tools such as Informatica, Sterling. Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, IBM Cognos/TM1 is highly desired.
- SAS 9.4/Viya Experience: Proficient in designing solutions within the SAS 9.4 or Viya platform.
- Systems Integration: Strong understanding of systems and data integration with practical experience in enterprise-level projects, particularly within the Credit Risk domain.
- Advanced SQL Skills: Expertise in advanced SQL for data manipulation, cleansing, and analysis.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with consultative skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Financial Services Knowledge: A solid understanding of financial services environments, applications, and products, particularly in the Credit Risk sector.
- DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps principles is a plus.
