Randstad Digital are currently working with one of Queensland’s largest employers to find a SAP S4HANA HR Payroll Project Manager to join their team for a contract until the 30th of June, 2026. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the ERP HR/Payroll stream of work for the ERP Program (S/4HANA) across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and implement all technical aspects of the ERP Program’s HR/Payroll stream within the agreed governance framework and SAP Activate methodology.
- Plan, implement and monitor all technical aspects of the HR/Payroll stream’s overall progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective actions as appropriate.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the HR/Payroll stream delivery schedule and ensure all deliverables are produced in accordance with quality standards and approved by the relevant program governance body.
- Manage technical change management [variations] and delivery for the HR/Payroll stream in an effective and efficient manner.
- Drive and support the successful realisation of the Business Benefits.
- Develop relationships and work with the HR SuccessFactors Project Manager, and Finance Project Manager develop initiatives and technical outputs that align and integrate HR data between Employee Central and S4 to meet HR, Payroll and Finance business function
- Develop relationships, plans and an approach to work with the Data Migration & Integration Project Manager to ensure the Payroll data transformations and migrations aligns with data specifications and reconciles with source and target data requirements for legacy payroll & organisation data migration
- Responsible for the delivery of quality system solutions including the management and coordination of HR/Payroll technical infrastructure, solution development, testing cycles, data migration, release and cutover processes, and vendor management.
- Provide weekly program status reports for all aspects of the HR/Payroll streams.
Necessary Skills:
- Experience in delivering end-to-end technical SAP ERP HR/Payroll implementations, at minimum HR/Payroll & Payroll, as a HR/Payroll Stream Lead or HR/Payroll Project Manager.
- 15+ years of technical project management delivery experience with specific evidence of having: managed and delivered ERP HR/Payroll projects, across the full SDLC, for complex data migration of large enterprise HR/Payroll migrations and integrations; experience of industry standards for release management and transition of all artefacts and products to BAU.
- Experience in managing the development of comprehensive requirements analyses, traceability matrices, functional and technical specifications for SAP ERP HR/Payroll migrations and implementations
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate aptitude and experience to manage SAP ERP HR/Payroll delivery within or across:
- Understanding of HR and Payroll principles, employee self-services, people solutions, enterprise agreements, time & leave entitlements, employee master data, payments, payroll reporting, financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in adapting to changing legislative, tax and financial regulations
- Experience in managing SAP ERP HR/Payroll implementations across changing company structures, organisation change, acquisitions and divestments
