18-24 Month Project | Southern Highlands Region
Randstad is actively seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator for an 18-24 month project located in the Southern Highlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environment (HSE) across a large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage safety management systems across multiple sites.
- Develop safety documentation for new projects, including procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Create, review, and update Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Implement and oversee incident management procedures, ensuring a thorough and effective response.
- Review, approve, and audit subcontractor safety management plans and SWMS to ensure compliance.
- Administer First Aid when required.
- Conduct regular project audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports to prevent future occurrences.
- Perform routine WHS inspections and address any safety concerns.
- Deliver WHS training to staff and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety.
- Prepare and present comprehensive HSE reports to management.
Key Requirements:
Ideal candidate will be Southern Highlands based or at least be prepared to relocate to the region for the duration of the project.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Civil construction experience essential
- Diploma in WH&S
- Strong understanding of NSW standards, legislation and guidelines relating to HSE
