Randstad Recruitment has partnered with an industry leader in Commercial Construction and Development seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join the team working across high-rise developments in the Gold Coast district and champion a safe working culture throughout the business.
This role has the option to be either a temporary, or permanent position for the right candidate with an immediate start availability.
In the dynamic role as a Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies to upkeep compliance with industry relevant legislation and company standards
- Monitor and update HSE systems
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams, and conduct toolbox talks
- Promote and support a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across a range of stakeholders
- Provide advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Complete investigations regarding all HSE incidents, develop, and implement corrective actions
Certification & Experience:
- Open Driver’s License
- Proven industry experience and comprehensive understanding of WHS Legislation
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
- Previous experience working within high-rise construction
- Completion of a relevant academic qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (Desirable)
