Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 2 industry leader in Commercial Construction and Development, seeking a Safety Advisor to join the team working across Health, Education, Industrial, and large scale commercial developments.
In the role of a Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, redevelop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Duties:
- Liaise and report with members of project management
- Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
- Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
- Travel throughout the SEQ region when required to support current and future projects
Certification & Experience:
- Open Driver’s License
- Proven industry experience and comprehensive understanding of WHS Legislation
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
- Previous industry experience working throughout commercial construction
- Completion of a relevant academic qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (Minimum Cert IV)
