Key Responsibilities
Roster Management
- Develop, manage, and maintain staff rosters that align with service delivery requirements and employee availability.
- Ensure rostering compliance with relevant industrial awards, agreements, and NDIS guidelines.
- Make real-time adjustments to rosters in response to leave requests, staff shortages, or unforeseen changes.
- Communicate roster changes effectively to employees.
Workforce Coordination
- Work closely with the GM Operations and team leaders to forecast and plan workforce requirements.
- Ensure accurate records of staff availability, shift preferences, and leave requests are maintained.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure rosters comply with workplace health and safety standards, award conditions, and employment contracts.
- Monitor staff working hours to prevent excessive workloads (overtime) and fatigue risks.
- Generate reports on rostering trends, overtime, and workforce utilisation.
System & Data Management
- Utilise rostering software to maintain up-to-date records and support accurate payroll processing.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and increased efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for roster-related enquiries from staff and management.
Your Experience
Essential
- Experience in rostering or workforce coordination within the disability, aged care, or community services sector.
- Strong understanding of industrial awards, Fair Work legislation, and rostering compliance.
- Proficiency in rostering software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check
Desirable
- Experience using EmpLive.
- Knowledge of NDIS operational and funding requirements.
