Our client in superannuation are in need of a Resource Planner to drive transformation within a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take ownership of resource forecasting, capacity planning, and utilisation across key business functions. This is a pivotal role within the Transformation Delivery team, ensuring seamless alignment of resource management with strategic project outcomes.
About the Role
As a Resource Planner, you will work closely with stakeholders across business, IT, and Transformation Delivery to maintain an accurate forward forecast of resource demand and capacity. You will provide strategic insight and analytical capability to support critical business decisions related to workforce planning and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with Project Managers, Program Managers, and IT Delivery Managers to understand and document resource requirements.
Advocate for and implement best-practice resource planning and estimation frameworks.
Maintain a comprehensive forecast of resource demand across Transformation Delivery, IT, and Business SME teams.
Collaborate with Resource Owners to ensure accurate reporting of resource availability and allocation.
Identify and mitigate resource-related risks and capacity constraints.
Conduct scenario planning and "what-if" analysis to optimise portfolio resourcing.
Monitor and manage external worker contracts to align with business needs and risk appetite.
Develop and maintain training materials, ensuring stakeholders understand resource planning processes.
About You
Proven experience in workforce and resource management within a PMO, program, or portfolio office.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and portfolio/project delivery frameworks.
Exceptional analytical skills with experience using resource modelling and forecasting tools.
Strong stakeholder engagement and group facilitation capabilities.
High proficiency in Microsoft Project Server/Online, Power BI, and MS Excel.
Experience with Atlassian tools is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in project management frameworks such as PMBoK, BABoK, SAFe, or Prince2 are highly desirable.
Industry experience within financial services or superannuation is a plus.
