Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation Officer – Part Time
- Contract Duration: Until 6th June 2025
- Hourly Rate: $55.95 per hour + super
- Working Hours: Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30am - 4:00pm (14 hours per week)
- Location: Blacktown
About the Role:
As a Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation Officer, you will play a key role in developing and managing a workers compensation framework while supporting injury management and rehabilitation activities. You will ensure effective claims management, compliance with relevant legislation, and contribute to a safe and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Workers Compensation framework in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Manage workers compensation claims to facilitate early return to work outcomes.
- Consult with treating doctors and key stakeholders to develop effective rehabilitation programs.
- Ensure compliance with the NSW Work Health Safety Act 2011, Work Health Safety Regulation 2017, and other relevant policies.
- Provide timely and accurate advice on injury management and return to work processes.
- Maintain accurate records in line with Council’s record management procedures.
- Regularly liaise with legal representatives, medical professionals, and internal stakeholders to support best practices in claims management.
- Monitor and report on claims management activities and outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture that values teamwork, safety, and innovation.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- Solid experience in workers compensation claims management.
- Experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation programs.
- A valid Class C Driver’s License.
Desirable:
- Experience using databases such as TRIM, TechnologyOne, or SCOUT.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation legislative updates and best practices.
