... About the Role
Randstad is proud to partner with a leading local council to recruit a Rates Coordinator (Supervisor). This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of four Rates Officers, ensuring efficient administration of rates and revenue collection while driving compliance and process improvement.
Reporting to the Team Leader – Revenue & Collections, you will oversee day-to-day operations, provide professional guidance, and contribute to budgeting and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of four Rates Officers.
- Oversee the administration of rates, revenue collection, and compliance.
- Process supplementary valuations within required timeframes.
- Manage pensioner rate rebates and other rate collections.
- Assist in budgeting and financial reporting.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
Key Selection Criteria
✅ Local Government Experience: Prior experience within a Rates team is essential.
✅ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
✅ Technical Knowledge: Experience using Pathway software (mandatory).
✅ Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
✅ Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
