Working for a Brisbane based leading rail organisation Randstad is looking source a Rail Systems Integration Testing Engineering Lead. Whilst the client would prefer candidates that have Australian experience and work rights, candidates from overseas will also be considered. This is an exceptional position that will lead ETCS testing and intergration activities on a major rail infrastructure project in Queensland.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Drive Systems Integration Testing activities.
2. Support the Integration Testing Lead Site Engineer to deliver the Master Test Plan.
3. Manage and resource the testing program for the System Integration testing phase.
4. Ensure the functional integration and correspondence testing activities for all subsystems including accountability for risk mitigation and direct intervention.
5. Accountable for the testing function on ETCS Systems in order to successfully commission the new systems into service.
6. Work collaboratively to establish testing and
verification and validation priorities and plan according to the
available possessions.
7. Act as the point of accountability in ensuring all testing is
delivered in accordance with the project requirements, local and
international standards whilst reducing risk.
8. Work with the Integration Testing Lead Site Engineer for each
discipline to deliver opportunities to reduce the integration testing
time.
9. Influence and liaise with internal and external development teams to
address defects and determine fit for purpose outcomes.
10. Provide technical inputs into the planning of project(s)
verification and validation activities including procedure and plan
development as a subject matter expert.
11. Support the delivery of Requirement Traceability Report to
demonstrate that the requirements have been met.
Suitable candidates will be expected to have the following skills and experience:
1. Strong leadership and strategy development skills.
2. Exceptional communication skills.
3. Ability to managing systems integration testing programs
and integrating complex technical issues into solutions.
4. Extensive level of knowledge of RTO requirements and of local and
international testing standards, frameworks and best practice.
5. Ability to manage rail corridor system integration activities.
6. Substantial level of knowledge of governance, risk and compliance relating to systems integration testing activities and its application to the regulation of risk mitigation for complex railway infrastructure projects.
7. High level of skill in delivering professional systems engineering solutions in the area of systems integration, verification and practice. This includes the verification of system and subsystem requirements, testing issues management and report generation.
All candidates require a relevant degree that enables the suitable candidate to attain RPEQ accreditation as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
