Quality Systems Manager
Randstad Defence is currently working with a business who specialise in supplying advanced technologies to the Defence Industry which support a diverse range of platforms for land, sea and air domains. Due to the high demand of their products and company growth we are seeking a System Performance Manager to conduct internal audits and monitor company compliance.
This is a permanent full-time position based in their Canberra Office. The candidate must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
The opportunity:
The System Performance Manager position is responsible for ensuring that the overall quality, conformance, and compliance of our products, services and management system are effectively being maintained and achieving optimal performance and delivery of business objectives.
Responsibilities of your new role:
...- Organize, schedule, and conduct internal audits.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation, enhancement, and refinement of quality strategy plans, policies, procedures, and practices outlined in the Management System.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet product, service, and asset performance targets.
- Identify and report risks, especially those related to the management system and quality assurance processes.
- Track non-conformance trends and produce reports to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Assist with developing and maintaining documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and control records.
- Oversee management system functionality and ensure that relevant personnel are aware of procedure adequacy and updates to meet business requirements.
What you will need to be successful in the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, or experience in coordination of quality
- management activities in an equivalent regulated industry.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
- A high level of analytical and problem solving skills.
- Certification in management system standards e.g., ISO 9001 is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
