Randstad has been given the exclusive opportunity to recruit for a Quality Control Line Inspector (Contract role) for our clients based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Working within the FMCG sector, this role will give an individual the opportunity to join a leading food manufacturer that is Australian owned and operated.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position plays a pivotal role within the Quality team, ensuring that food products meet the established standards of quality and food safety. ABOUT THE ROLE
This position would be a contract role (3-6 months) that has the potential to extend and can commence ASAP.
- Responsible for inspecting and testing the raw materials and products to make sure they meet the required labels of quality
- Monitoring and programming critical control points (CCP)
- Performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and others areas required
- Monitoring every step of production to avoid product defects
- Performing inspections on products, equipment and machinery
- Focus on corrective actions in order to make sure that products meet required specifications
- Role requires flexibility with working hours (Mon-Fri) Potential for a 4:30am start for some shifts and an afternoon shift (3:30-11:30pm) may be required - not often.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology/Food Science
- Previous experience in Food Manufacturing is essential
- Strong understanding of QA processes in the food industry
- Food Safety Training in HACCP and GMP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit
- Positive attitude
