Position Title: Property Officer
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Are you passionate about property management and looking to make a difference in the community? The Property Officer will play a crucial role in managing and maximizing the use of Council’s property portfolio. You will actively engage with lessees, licensees, vendors, buyers, service providers, and the broader community to support Council's capacity to deliver services and facilities for the local community.

As a Property Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, implementing, and managing tasks related to Council’s property assets.
- Engaging with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure Council's property assets meet the needs of the community.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver timely advice and actions.
- Promoting community, economic, and environmental opportunities through the property portfolio.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to improve the sustainability and performance of Council’s property assets.
- Upholding a positive and collaborative work culture through ethical decision-making and professional behavior.
Key Challenges:
- Balancing competing priorities while supporting the financial performance of the property portfolio.
- Navigating community expectations and government requirements in a sensitive environment.
- Delivering value for stakeholders in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in property management, acquisition, and disposal practices.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, Council policies, and the ability to interpret and apply them.
- A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
