Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Project and Stores Coordinator within a growing mining services company.
You will provide effective back-end organisational skills to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, meeting company standards and deadlines.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist with managing the company's stores, ensuring stock availability
- Sourcing goods, equipment and services required for mining construction projects, and maintaining supplier relationships
- Arrange, coordinate and confirm freight logistics, including transport and delivery of essential items to remote job locations
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Assist with documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Identify and address potential logistical challenges, providing proactive solutions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient project management processes.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in a similar coordination role, preferably within the mining or oil & gas industries
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Good computing skills
- A current forklift license is highly desirable
- A valid driver's license is essential
- A positive can-do attitude together with advanced problem solving skills is absolutely essential
