Our client, a local council, is seeking a Project Manager – Capital Works to oversee key infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced professional based near Swan Hill who can work onsite for three days per week. The position is offered as an initial 9-month contract, with the potential for extension.
What We Are Looking For
- Project & Construction Management Expertise – Demonstrated experience in managing building capital works projects, ideally within local government or related sectors.
- Project Delivery – Ability to manage multiple housing capital works projects from planning through to completion, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder & Contract Management Skills – Proven capability to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and government agencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of construction contracts, sustainability practices, and risk management strategies.
- Qualifications – A tertiary qualification in Building Construction, Project Management, or a related field.
- Problem-Solving & Leadership – Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, resolve complex challenges, and deliver results.
