Project Manager – Land Acquisition Team
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic Land Acquisition team. This pivotal role will involve managing key programs within the business unit, focused on the planning and delivery of future government-related buildings. The successful candidate will lead projects aimed at identifying risks, developing effective mitigation strategies, and negotiating outcomes with key stakeholders. A solid understanding of land acquisition and land development processes is essential.
As the Project Manager, you will work collaboratively with various departments and government agencies to ensure the seamless delivery of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Oversee the forward planning program for public buildings in greenfield areas, including tracking progress, preparing reports, and providing strategic advice.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide regular updates on project status.
- Consultant Procurement: Manage procurement and oversight of consultants (e.g., property advisory, surveying, engineering, design).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage communications with internal teams, government agencies, local councils, developers, private landowners, and other stakeholders.
- Strategic Contribution: Support the development of strategic initiatives and provide insights into process improvement, data analysis, and program tracking.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research and provide advice on potential future sites for development, considering a range of factors including environmental, cultural, and technical aspects.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in property, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Land Development Knowledge: A strong understanding of the land development process, particularly within the Victorian legal context.
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing land development projects and site-related challenges, including contamination, geotechnical, ecological, and cultural heritage issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with various stakeholders such as government agencies, local councils, and developers.
