Council is seeking an ICT Project Manager for Discovery work for the future of RIMS (Council’s legacy Ratings Application), Coreland, and PoTW (Property on the Web) for the discovery work required until the eofy. Options include to either reuse existing, re-architect and build and deliver on Azure, or rehost on Azure, or build in EBP.

Discovery Work for the Future of RIMS, Coreland, and PoTW (RIMS Uplift)

RIMS is a legacy system which transacts for Council’s rate payers. RIMS is soon to be end of life and the project is for Discovery work for its future options. The objective of this initiative is to project manage the discovery work required until the end of the financial year. The options being considered include reusing existing systems, rearchitecting and building a solution on Azure, rehosting on Azure, or building in EBP. This project is within the Local Government Domain, and resources will be provided by Application Delivery as the choice of platform has not been determined.

Key Deliverables:

• Project planning and management of the discovery work until the end of the financial year.
• Evaluating the options (reuse, rearchitect and build on Azure, rehost on Azure, or build in EBP) and making informed recommendations.
• Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, technical teams and business areas to gather requirements and identify suitable solutions.
• Ensuring the successful delivery of the discovery phase, including documentation of findings and recommendations.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in project management, specifically in leading discovery work and technology transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Azure or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
