Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of assigned capital works projects, from design completion to construction handover.
• Review design documentation for constructability and identify possible omissions.
• Develop technical requirements for RFQs and RFTs, ensuring accuracy in specifications and drawings.
• Lead and chair evaluation panels for project tenders and manage procurement processes.
• Act as the Superintendent’s Representative on assigned projects.
• Coordinate and liaise with all stakeholders, including designers, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead project control groups (PCGs), provide status reports, and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Make informed decisions on contractor engagement and ensure quality, value for money, and compliance with engineering practices.
• Monitor and report on project delivery, ensuring objectives for cost, time, and quality are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing and delivering capital works projects, preferably within local government.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, tendering processes, and contract management.
• Proven ability to manage projects within predetermined limits of time, cost, and quality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making skills related to contractor management and project delivery.
