We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT), Control Systems and PLC upgrades to join our prestigious client based in Adelaide. This role involves managing and overseeing projects focused on control systems and PLC upgrades, ensuring seamless project integration, and delivering high-quality results within set timelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on key projects within the industry, driving innovation and ensuring successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the Mining, Oil & Gas, or energy sectors and excellent project management skills. This is a 6-12 month contract position with competitive rates and the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects focused on Control Systems and PLC upgrades from initiation through to completion.
- Provide strong technical guidance and support in the area of PLC systems and Operational Technology (OT), ensuring all technical aspects of the project are addressed.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, vendors, and clients, to ensure project alignment and integration.
- Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, manage resources, and ensure timely execution and delivery of projects.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations and client requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects focused on Control Systems, PLC upgrades, and Operational Technology (OT), preferably within the mining, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
- In-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC systems, control systems integration and OT.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage timelines, and deliver projects within budget.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying project status, updates and issues to stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.
- Proven ability to engage with various stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
- Previous experience in Mining / Oil & Gas / Energy will be highly advantageous.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.

- Attractive contract rates on an hourly or daily basis, with the option of Super/GST inclusion.
- The role can be offered either on an hourly/daily rate contract OR as a fixed-term contract with 11.5% superannuation and 4 weeks annual leave per year.
