About the Role
The purpose of the position is to successfully manage the delivery of predominantly medium to high risk/complexity projects to plan, within the Regional Two Year Integrated Works Program. The Program includes capital works, renewals and minor works projects.
The position leads collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and the Regional Delivery Partner for the region to manage and resolve complex issues and risks to project delivery. The position is accountable to drive collaboration between internal teams and the Regional Delivery Partner, to manage risk proactively and to ensure integrated whole-life delivery.
Candidates for this position must have 5+ years project management experience in large scale delivering medium to high risk/complexity civil infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the successful delivery of predominantly medium to high risk / complexity projects within the region from initiation through to close out and handover in accordance with NEC4 processes and within Program Delivery’s project delivery framework.
- Actively drive collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and the Regional Delivery Partner to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery, cost and risk management across allocated projects.
- Ensure Project Plans include clear targets, objectives, Key Performance Indicators, scope of work and deliverables which reflect the agreement between internal teams and the Regional Delivery Partner.
- Prepare Business Cases for medium to high risk / complexity projects to meet client expectations, including options identification, analysis and recommendation.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Regional Delivery Partner to foster a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation, and address early warnings, changes to the program and compensation events, and broader safety, environment, quality and constructability compliance matters.
- Proactively manage stakeholder and community engagement and communications for the allocated projects, ensuring alignment with overarching Sydney Water Communications and Engagement Strategy.
Please note that you will work out of their Chatswood office, with some WFH flexibility provided.
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with proven experience and reliability on large infrastructure projects.
The successful candidates will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related field or experience deemed equivalent
- 5+ years project management experience in large scale delivering medium to high risk/complexity civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven project management experience, delivering large and multi-faceted projects, is essential
- Proven leadership / management experience is beneficial performance metrics/outcomes
- Experience working with key business stakeholders is beneficial
- Minimum 5+ years industry experience, including working within and leading large, multi-disciplinary integrated teams and/or alliances
