A highly respected client within the civil infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the electrical aspects of water, wastewater, and recycled water projects. About the Project:
Our client is part of a joint venture between prominent Tier 1 contractors, responsible for delivering a 10-year program for Sydney Water’s North region. The program involves the design and construction of new assets such as pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants, along with the maintenance and facilities management of existing infrastructure. The joint venture aims to enhance water and wastewater services for over one million residents, driving innovation in design, construction, and asset management. The program includes a performance review at the five-year mark, offering significant opportunities for career growth and community involvement within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical aspects of water supply, wastewater, and recycled water projects, ensuring electrical design solutions meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality outcomes and meet key project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental practices, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, schedules, and financial forecasts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce and review technical documentation, such as project reports, risk assessments, and construction methodologies.
- Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and development opportunities to meet project requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Electrical trade, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, particularly within the water or utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design solutions for water and wastewater projects.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Experience working within joint venture environments and managing cross-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to maintaining safety standards and ensuring environmental compliance on all projects.
