Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure Projects
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join a highly regarded civil infrastructure contractor. This company has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale and complex projects across the transport, utilities, and civil engineering sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the construction of various infrastructure projects, including bridges, roads, retaining walls, and underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of construction methods, material selections, and quality standards for civil engineering projects.
- Manage procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment, and coordinate labour resources to ensure smooth project execution.
- Address project-related issues, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and manage documents related to contracts, tenders, project programs, and progress reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, suppliers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Review design and engineering drawings, assist with cost planning, and manage budget control measures to keep projects within financial scope.
- Develop safe work method statements and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the progress of subcontractors' work, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines, and provide regular project updates.
Skills and Experience:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in the transport and utilities infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, with a good understanding of AutoCAD design software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to delegate tasks and manage resources effectively, ensuring high standards of performance across the team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
