Role will be responsible for:
- Support and contribute to the analysis and evaluation of strategic and project risks against stated objectives and outcomes.
- Identify, interpret, and analyse complex data using statistical techniques to produce reports, visualisations, recommendations, and evaluation of risks to inform decision making and future strategic direction.
- Provide high quality and timely advice and reporting to Branch leadership and the Senior Executive cohort including, Executive Leadership Team in relation to risk responsibilities.
- Act as subject matter expert to influence and resolve issues and recommend innovative strategic solutions to ensure ongoing management of program risks.
- Conduct frequent risk reviews and risk health checks to ensure project governance requirements are adhered to.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective assessment and reporting tools to measure and monitor control and treatment effectiveness.
- Identify and report on issues, trends and risks using best practice methodologies and industry recognised standards and processes.
- Establish, facilitate, and maintain strong internal and external relationships to address, negotiate and deliver continuously improved quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of plans and related documents and prepare reports, templates, and documentation in support of Gateway Reviews and other auditing activities.
- Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
Mandatory Criteria
- Understanding of risk management methodologies in a complex program management environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively at all levels.
- Proven ability to act with discretion and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information.
- Well-developed organisational skills with an ability to proactively approach responsibilities.
- Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results within allocated and self-imposed deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to undertake proofreading and document quality review.
- Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
- Understanding of, and ability to contribute to the preparation of Risk and Portfolio/Program management plans.
- Familiarity with Portfolio/Program governance structures and reporting.
- Knowledge and understanding of, and previous experience operating within a Portfolio/Program environment.
- Proven ability to facilitate risk assessments and workshops with a range of stakeholders including the Executive cohort.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with SAFe Scaled Agile Framework.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Commonwealth frameworks,including Resource Management
