Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking to expand your skills? This role will see you working at our Mitcham facility, ensuring the production of personalised smart cards meets the quality and operational standards required for the finance sector.
The Role
Your role will involve the following, but not limited to;
... - Operate machines to support production, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Perform complete machine operation and auto-control by following provided specifications and samples.
- Handle machine setup and adjustments for optimal performance.
- Assist with equipment breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Work to minimise equipment downtime, increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and team initiatives.
- Contribute to new product introduction and development.
- Operate machines for specific tasks such as placing cards onto carriers, closing and sealing them, scanning codes on contract readers, and packing completed products.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
To be successful for the role you will have:
- Experience in machine operation: Previous experience in operating production machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical skills: Basic mechanical knowledge for handling machine setups, adjustments, and minor repairs, along with familiarity with machine automation and control systems.
- Attention to detail: Experience with quality control, particularly in ensuring compliance with strict operational standards, is important.
- Production experience: Familiarity with working on production lines, including tasks such as loading materials, scanning codes, and ensuring products are packed properly.
- Basic computer literacy, with the ability to operate digital systems for machine control, input data, and track production processes efficiently.
- Understanding of safety and quality standards: Experience working in environments that prioritise safety, quality control, and adherence to operational standards.
Desirable Experience and licenses
- Experience in sectors like electronics, plastics, or card manufacturing would be advantageous, as well as any relevant certifications in machine operation or maintenance.
