Production Controller
Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Production Controller within a long established metal foundry with an excellent reputation for producing bespoke componentry for their clients.
Based out of our clients’ northern suburbs based production facility and reporting to the General Manager, the Production Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of production, meeting customer deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
About the role:-
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, coordinating the flow of materials, labour, and equipment to meet customer requirements
- Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery
- Schedule, manage and track production orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to customer specifications
- Collaborate with the shop floor team, providing clear instructions and ensuring efficient utilization of resources
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate materials are available to meet production demands
- Implement and maintain production control systems and software, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes, working with the team to identify and implement best practices and minimising rejects
To be considered for the role you will have:-
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production control or similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or metal fabrication industry
- Strong understanding and experience in production planning and scheduling
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with production control software
- A strong commitment to safety and quality assurance
