Our client is currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team within the state government sector. As a senior member within the team, this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of ongoing and upcoming projects by leading the development and implementation of procurement plans and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing end to end procurement processes and contracts for a range of projects and programs
- Providing sound advice on tender evaluation plans and the management of high risk and complex procurement processes
- Building and developing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Providing training to ensure compliance with contracts, tenders and procurement policies, procedures and systems
- Refining and improving existing systems and procedures to ensure best practice
- Developing and presenting reports to management to inform decision making
Selection Criteria
- A background in procurement, contract management, commercial finance, legal, or similar
- Experience working in Victorian state government is desirable
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and engagement abilities, as well as high level written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- An ability and willingness to mentor others
