Are you looking for an opportunity in procurement in the Oil & Gas Industry? Our client is looking for a Repair Buyer Offshore.
This role is crucial in providing repair coordination and procurement support to operations, focusing on the repair, refurbishment, and recertification of equipment and materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and repairables coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
About the Role:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of Purchase Orders for repair scopes, including preparation, issue, maintenance, expediting, and closeout.
- Interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve material-related queries and ensure timely delivery.
- Utilize SAP (MM module) to capture transactions and manage repair processes efficiently.
- Ensure appropriate transportation and receiving outcomes by liaising with Operations, Logistics, and freight forwarders.
- Contribute to optimizing the Procure-to-Pay function and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and maintain a customer service culture within the team.
What you will need to succeed in this role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and repairables coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent professional experience.
- Multiple years in procurement and/or repairables coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Superior SAP skills (MM module).
- Understanding of local content requirements.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract formulation.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
