Our local government client is seeking a proactive and detail oriented Procurement Officer to join their expanding team. Responsibilities:
... - Facilitate the end-to-end procurement process for various transactions at different lifecycle stages.
- Assist the Procurement Lead in implementing and monitoring procurement systems and practices to ensure compliance and probity.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage the high volume of procurement needs.
- Prepare, publish and manage procurement documents using relevant e-tendering and automated systems in line with legislation.
- Work across business units to deliver value-for-money outcomes, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience that demonstrates a strong understanding and capability in procurement.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience or knowledge of local government legislation is beneficial, but not essential.
