Our client seeks a seasoned professional to undertake the role of Procurement Officer for a full-time permanent position within the Supply Chain team, where you will be tasked with sourcing top-tier, cost-efficient supplies while simultaneously cultivating collaborative and enduring relationships with vendors and suppliers..
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate forecasts align with production needs
- Manage and monitor inventory levels in a high-paced setting
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers for effective collaboration
- Enhance supplier performance to ensure consistent and sustainable productivity
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for goods and services
- Advise and participate in contract negotiations with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate favourable terms for materials
- Source and obtain competitive pricing for products not covered by existing agreements
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications within Procurement, Supply Chain or relevant discipline
- Procurement or purchasing experience within FMCG manufacturing
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, systems, ERP and Excel
