The Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining and improving practice procedures and systems for efficacy and overall patient experience
- Providing leadership support and direction for a team of reception and medical staff
- Providing rostering and assistance to the Reception team to ensure coverage at all times with the ability to handle any difficult patient enquiries or issues in a professional manner
- Managing the recruitment process and training of new team members
- Providing professional and competent support to the specialists and allied health professionals, including management of scheduling, appointments and billings
- Driving business growth and ensuring ongoing financial control with consideration for profitability growth
- Managing Practice billings and liaising with Medicare and Private Health contacts when required
- Identifying any areas of improvement to drive operational efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies
- Oversee office inventory and the ordering of medical and office supplies
- Maintaining a positive working environment by being approachable and promptly addressing any issues that may arise within the team
- Conducting regular staff meetings and performance reviews as needed in conjunction with Practice Directors
Ideally You Will Have:
- A focus on patient care and providing a personalised service to patients and families
- A warm, friendly, respectful and professional manner to ensure the best patient experience at all times
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support staff as needed
- The ability to work autonomously and efficiently
- Experience with booking theatre lists with the ability to assist the specialists with minor procedures
- The ability to coordinate the Practice administration
- The ability to multitask with excellent administrative skills and be highly organised
- Motivation to drive new initiatives and efficient processes
- Proficient experience in the use of IT and communication systems
- Experience in Gentu and an accounting package, Xero will be highly regarded
- A minimum of 2 years experience managing a private medical practice (preferably a surgical practice)
