Randstad Digital is currently looking for a Platform Architect with strong Enterprise Service Management experience to join one of Queensland’s largest employers for a 6-month contract with the view to extend. Based in Brisbane’s CBD, this role is integral to developing the organisation's strategy and architecture as they grow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a platform strategy and roadmap, serving as an integrator function across value streams and technology roadmaps to align product architecture with the platform strategy. Provide recommendations and technical assurance to the Platform Manager regarding future platform investments.
- Enterprise Service Design: Establish the ESM platform as an enterprise service through effective service design. This includes developing a scalable operating model that caters to the evolving needs of the organisation.
- Lead the development of architecture principles, patterns, guidelines, and standards for the ESM platform. This includes establishing and communicating best practices, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Support the ESM Platform Manager by providing ongoing input into the platform's strategic vision and roadmap and ensuring that changes made to the platform align with these artifacts. The remit of the ESM Platform Architect includes changes that have significant "platform-wide" impacts such as cloud migrations, peripheral system replacements, and major technical or functionality upgrades.
- Process Automation and Optimisation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and optimisation within the ESM platform, aligned with Agile and DevOps principles.
Necessary Skills:
- Substantial knowledge and demonstrated experience as a platform architect or consultant with strong Enterprise Service Management experience in a complex organisation with a large ICT environment.
- Demonstrated significant experience working in ITSM or ESM environments (project and/or support) in platform technical configuration, programming, functional analysis, solution design and / or solution architecture roles. Experience in the BMC Helix or ServiceNow platforms would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of IT service management processes and frameworks, such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Proficiency in designing and implementing complex business workflows, including service catalogue management, incident management, change management, and problem management.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, system integration, and API management.
- Demonstrated significant experience developing integrated, business requirement and EnterpriseArchitecture aligned strategic architecture and solution roadmaps across the ESM platform.
- Strong working experience of solution architecture methodologies, project management methodologies and in the development and review of solution options and roadmaps which are aligned to the Enterprise Architecture of a complex environment.
