STC manages the North East Link road and oversees toll operations for Victoria’s largest transport project. About the Role
As a People & Organisational Development Advisor, you will be at the forefront of supporting this transformative infrastructure project by driving key HR initiatives and processes. With a strong emphasis on recruitment, you will ensure the organisation attracts, engages, and retains top talent. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class recruitment strategies, all while contributing to broader People and Culture functions, including policy development, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
Reporting to the People & Organisational Development Lead, this role is integral to establishing robust HR structures and practices. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the organisation’s approach to recruitment and workforce management while delivering impactful, high-quality HR services across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
...- Lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, to secure high-calibre talent that aligns with the organisation’s strategic goals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment and broader HR matters, ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures, and practices across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate HR records and deliver comprehensive reporting to support decision-making and compliance.
- Collaborate with the People & Organisational Development Lead to deliver HR projects and initiatives, contributing innovative solutions to improve organisational outcomes.
Desirables
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, with a proven ability to attract, assess, and onboard top-tier talent in a competitive market.
- Experience in a People and Culture Advisor, HR Advisor or Coordinator role, preferably in a public sector or project-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and Awards, with the ability to interpret and apply these in practical scenarios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, fostering positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field are essential.
- Previous experience with public sector recruitment or complex, high-volume hiring projects is highly regarded.
