About the role:

Reporting into the Payroll Manager and working as part of a team, your duties will include:

• Process weekly, fortnightly, or monthly pay changes and calculations
• Analyse and audit all payrolls to ensure compliance with legislation and awards (including tax compliance, superannuation, etc.)
• Participate in ongoing improvement and standardisation of payroll operations, systems, and procedures
• Participate in payroll systems upgrade projects
• Liaise with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, conditions of service, and other relevant matters
• Assist in preparing end-of-month and end-of-year reconciliations
• Review and update payroll policies and procedures
• Ensure prompt maintenance of staff records, timely filing, and archiving according to company retention policy
• Assist in integrating payroll functions for acquired businesses

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong award interpretation skills
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach to your work
• Full and unlimited Australian working rights
