An exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join an established organization who operate in the construction industry. This full-time permanent role looks after the end to end payroll processing for 450 staff (weekly & fortnightly) using Micropay and will work alongside another Payroll Manager. The payroll will be split equally between the department.
This role provides flexible working opportunities using the hybrid model working from the office and home. The office is located in Willoughby (Chatswood) and provides onsite parking for its employees.
The salary offering is around $120,000 + super depending on experience.
Key responsibilities:
... - Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Manage and updated the everyday running of the payroll system.
- Entering and uploading of timesheets.
- Uploading / Entering Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into the accounting packages across the business.
- Processing / lodging of Monthly Superannuation, redundancy, Income Protection etc.
- Staying up to date with the EBA and new legislation.
- Review and respond to payroll queries.
- Assist with monthly employee reporting.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Proven end to end payroll processing experience.
- Experience with award interpretation, system maintenance , PAYG and payroll tax.
- Experience working with a range of Payroll systems and ability to adapt and pick up new systems quickly.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Intermediate excel skills are preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
