Randstad is proud to be exclusively partnering with our client who are a reputable and stable ASX-Listed business. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader who is ready to step-up to lead their small team with BAU operations whilst supporting with a new system rollout.

About the role:
Reporting into the HR Services Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of 5 who process the pays for 3000 employees. Your duties will include:
- Lead and oversee the execution of weekly, fortnightly, bi-fortnightly and monthly pay runs
- Implement preventative controls and continuously improve payroll procedures to drive pay compliance, meet audit and governance standards
- Ensure all pay run activities are executed in accordance with legislative, regulatory and award requirements (including tax, superannuation, STP) with strict adherence to timing and accuracy
- Implement and deliver pay compliance reporting
- Conduct root cause investigations on all pay compliance issues to meet governance standards.
- Coach and mentor direct reports to deliver best practice payroll and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Lead and coach performance, development, and day-to-day operations for the payroll team
- Facilitate the implementation of a segregation of duties and a new payroll operating model
- Manage all payroll system upgrades, including drafting communications for business unit updates
About you:
You are an experienced Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader ready to step up with exceptional people leadership skills. In addition, you have:
- 5+ years of experience in a payroll leadership position
- Experience managing a payroll of at least 1000 employees
- Experience using a large system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full and unlimited Australian working rights
