An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Consultant to join a high-performing Public Sector team in Adelaide. This full-time role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of payroll processes and a commitment to delivering excellent service within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex payroll functions, including:
  • Leave audits
  • Separation package calculations
  • Estimated termination payment calculations
  • Data entry
• Manage position-related services and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Undertake manual calculations, maintain and update payroll records, process invoicing, reconcile accounts, and handle overpayment recoveries.
• Provide accurate and timely advice to internal stakeholders on payroll, leave, and position management matters.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Extensive payroll experience within the South Australian Government sector.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with the Ascender payroll system is desirable.
• High level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Position Details:

• Location: Adelaide
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Work Arrangement: On-site only
