We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a large-scale, multi-country payroll transformation project. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team on a high-priority program where your expertise in payroll systems and business analysis will drive meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and document detailed payroll-related business requirements.
Analyse current payroll processes to identify improvement or automation opportunities.
Oversee the configuration and integration of a new payroll system aligned with business needs.
Translate functional requirements into detailed specifications and solution designs.
Liaise across business, technical, and vendor teams to maintain clear communication and alignment.
Lead test planning and execution including unit, integration, UAT and parallel testing.
Provide change management support and coordinate end-user training.
Manage hypercare support, ensuring a smooth transition and system performance post-go-live.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and security standards.
Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years in payroll implementation.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and multi-country payroll operations.
Demonstrated experience with vendor selection and RFP processes.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities with ease.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Technically proficient and confident in engaging with vendors on complex issues.
Additional Details
Daily rate
Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite in Melbourne (typically Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Contract: Until March 2026
Start: ASAP preferred; up to 4 weeks’ notice acceptable for the right candidate
