Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic finance team . This role is crucial in supporting the business by assisting with end-to-end payroll processing for both permanent and casual employees, maintaining employee records, and supporting payroll reporting and reimbursement claims.
In this position, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and be responsible for performing payroll-related tasks such as timesheet checks and corrections, processing kilometre reimbursement claims, payroll adjustments, and supporting employee terminations. You will also help ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, while maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records.

Key responsibilities include:
... - Supporting the Payroll Manager with weekly payroll processing.
- Checking and correcting timesheets, liaising with staff and managers to ensure accuracy.
- Importing payroll data and reviewing transactions.
- Processing kilometre reimbursement claims and ad hoc payments.
- Finalising payroll runs and uploading bank files for payment.
- Setting up new employees and processing terminations in payroll systems.
- Assisting with payroll reporting and queries.
About You:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience with payroll systems and time and attendance applications (experience with Dayforce is highly regarded).
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- A background in business, accounts, HR, or payroll is preferred, with knowledge of relevant awards and legislation being a plus.
