The DOD are looking for a Program Operations Manager to drive and coordinate critical programs. This pivotal role supports the Deputy Director, CMO Manager, ensuring alignment across multiple initiatives that contribute to the Land C4 strategic objectives, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
Scope of Task
The Program Operations Manager will oversee the execution of related initiatives, coordinating efforts to align them with the Land C4 goals and values. This includes robust strategic planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement to fulfill program objectives. Working closely with internal teams and Defence partners, the Program Operations Manager will play a vital role in achieving broader Land C4 program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning
- Support the development of program objectives and outcomes aligned with Land C4 priorities.
- Create long-term strategies and roadmaps to guide effective program execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather program requirements and ensure alignment with Land C4 goals.
- Communicate regularly with senior executives and key stakeholders, providing updates on program status and identifying gaps, risks, and issues.
- Provide expert advice to working groups and LCD stakeholders as needed.
- Continuous Improvement
- Implement best practices and lessons learned to improve program performance.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the CMO.
- Collaborative Leadership
- Collaborate effectively with ADF and APS staff, Defence contractors, and related teams to drive program success.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in program and/or project management, preferably in complex or large-scale initiatives.
- Minimum NV1 Security Clearance
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS 365 tools for efficient program management.
- Highly desirable - Experience delivering projects within the Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG)
