What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and overhaul of heavy machinery and components

• Strip, inspect, and reassemble mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, and brakes

• Use hand and power tools, and read technical drawings or schematics

• Conduct quality control checks and adhere to safety and compliance standards

• Collaborate with engineers and other trades to meet project timelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)

• Previous experience in heavy industry, rail, defence, automotive, or mining is highly regarded

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
