Randstad is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client, a leading bakery based in Broadmeadows. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring all mechanical systems and machinery are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on bakery equipment and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults quickly to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of mechanical processes and efficiency.

Skills & Experience:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Cert III or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in food production or manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Flexible to work both day and night shifts.
• High level of commitment to safety and quality
