Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve engineering outputs.
- Lead the delivery of robust and cost-effective designs for all projects.
- Manage the design process to meet client scope, technical, safety, and budget requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop the internal design/engineering and drafting team.
- Assist in engaging subcontractors and sub-consultants, including preparing scopes of service.
- Drive and manage team performance to meet milestones with high-quality documentation.
- Plan, programme, and deliver projects in line with Quality Assurance, budget, and briefs.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure design accuracy and quality.
- Facilitate peer reviews and deep dives as required.
- Prepare a Monthly Design Report on project KPIs, including performance and financial status.
- Support the estimating team as needed.
- Design and implement Value Engineering Initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections and produce reports for internal review.
- Assess subcontractor and supplier submissions for compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Ensure leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies.
- Manage engineering change processes, including variations.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in HVAC, Electrical and or BMS Projects.
- Minimum 3 Years in a Senior Leadership role (Engineering Manager etc)
- Demonstrated portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Engineering Software and simulation tools.
