As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of materials to support production schedules. You will play a critical role in managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret MRP data and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Run MRP weekly for all purchased raw materials.
- Review, maintain, and update inventory levels.
- Manage end-to-end purchasing from domestic and international suppliers.
- Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders and transport companies for shipments.
- Ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain master data to reflect current data.
- Coordinate deliveries with national and international suppliers.
- Work with freight companies to ensure timely arrival of materials.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning within Manufacturing is essential
- Demonstrated previous experience in supply chain, purchasing and inventory control
- Proficient with MRP and using ERP systems and spreadsheets (Excel)
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to accuracy and detail
- Great written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Confidence to problem solve using own initiative
