About The Role
As the Manager, Accord Strategic Communications & Engagement, you will report to the Senior Manager, Office of the Accord, and play a pivotal role in crafting and executing next-generation communications and engagement strategies. You will lead strategic initiatives that unify messaging, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and deliver alignment across five diverse organisations within the Accord. This role demands a versatile leader who can balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution, ensuring consistency, alignment, and impactful engagement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
... - Develop and implement the MD's Accord Strategic Communications and Engagement Plan to achieve shared objectives.
- Lead integrated communications and engagement efforts across five Accord Water Corporations and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Manage relationships with government, regulators, and senior executives to influence decision-making and advocate for the Accord's priorities.
- Facilitate alignment across five communications teams, ensuring consistent messaging and collaborative approaches.
- Drive strategic discussions and deliver key outcomes for milestone events, including the MD's Accord session in February 2025.
- Oversee team performance, mentoring, and resource planning while fostering a positive and integrated team culture.
- Provide expert advice on navigating political and regulatory landscapes, advocating for infrastructure and policy outcomes.
- Monitor risk and compliance, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to organisational objectives.
- Manage budgets effectively and provide solutions-oriented leadership to drive project success.

- Proven success in achieving consensus across diverse teams with differing organizational cultures.
- A strategic and hands-on approach to communications, with the ability to switch between big-picture thinking and tactical execution.

- Expertise in stakeholder management, building trust across government and private sectors.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Engagement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience leading strategic communications and engagement projects within government or the water sector.
