Join a global leader in environmental services management, and take on a dynamic role providing financial insights and strategic support to key stakeholders. Work as part of a small team and assist in the preparation of month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and analysis of operational metrics for the Queensland sites, in accordance with the group accounting principles.
What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare month-end reporting, including P&L commentary, in line with corporate deadlines.
- Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, providing variance reports and insights.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting systems, performance dashboards, and KPI tracking.
Finance Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Corporate teams to deliver insights and actionable recommendations.
- Provide quality commentary on business trends and challenges.
- Assist in developing strategies for performance improvement across the organization.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and conventional management accounting practices.
- Monitor business developments and implement data-driven reporting solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in business systems and reporting processes.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial, operations-facing role (ideally in logistics, heavy industry, mining, or construction).
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, advanced formulas).
- Proficiency in large ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, Dynamics 365) and BI tools (TM1, Power BI, Hyperion).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
