• Undertake month end processes including the processing of journals and accruals.
• Analysing financial results and communicating the results to stakeholders in a meaningful way.
• Reconciliation and management of balance sheet accounts (including bank reconciliations).
•Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain a contracts register for all revenue streams and oversee the timing of payments and cashflows.
• Examine operating expenditure and drive cost optimisation.
about the manager / team
This role reports into the Financial Controller. There are 2 Senior Accountants and 4 Finance Officers within the team. Career progression and longevity is encouraged within the organization.
skills & requirements for the job
To succeed in this role you should possess a Degree in Accounting or related fields, with minimum 5 years of local Australian finance and accounting experience. This role is well-suited for somebody who is a strong team player, ambitious to learn and progress, resilient and with a outstanding communications skills as you would be presenting reports to the CEO.
