APS6 Case Manager, 6-month contract with a possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. While the role is based in Richmond or Geelong, some in-office time is required. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to apply.
The AAT (Administrative Appeals Tribunal) Case Management Branch manages all external review applications in the AAT. The branch aims to improve the experience of current and prospective participants by resolving applications for review in a timely and consistent manner.
The role involves managing end-to-end case activities handling AAT applications related to reviewable decisions. Responsibilities include resolving complex AAT matters by applying alternative dispute resolution methods, attending conferences, conciliations, and hearings, and preparing documents that outline resolution options. The role requires assessing risks, maintaining electronic records, and ensuring decisions are well-supported by evidence. Strong case management, decision-making, and interpretation of legislation are key, with he ability to engage with diverse stakeholders being advantageous.
