This role involves assisting with morning coordination, ensuring all offsiders and drivers are prepared for their shifts, and operating Side Arm or Rear Loader trucks for kerbside residential waste collection.

💰 Pay Rate: $48+ per hour
⏰ Shifts: Monday – Friday | Early morning starts (4:00 AM)
⏳ Shift Length: 10–12 hours per day
⏳ Minimum Paid Hours Per Shift: 7.6 hours
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Assist with pre-shift coordination, ensuring all drivers and offsiders are organised and ready for their runs.
✔️ Operate Side Arm or Rear Loader trucks for kerbside residential waste collection.
✔️ Liaise with operations and dispatch regarding daily schedules, route changes, and staffing requirements.
✔️ Provide leadership and support to the team, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
✔️ Monitor fleet readiness, ensuring all trucks leave the depot on time and addressing any last-minute issues.
✔️ Adhere to safety and compliance regulations, including PPE use and hazard reporting.
Skills & Experience:
✅ Valid HR Truck Licence
✅ Previous leadership/supervisory experience (waste management or transport industry preferred)
✅ 6–12 months HR driving experience (waste industry experience highly regarded)
✅ Reliable transport to and from the depot for early starts
✅ Strong organisational and problem-solving skills – ability to manage a team and adapt to daily changes
✅ Physically fit – ability to climb in and out of trucks and lift 25–30 kg as required
✅ Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
✅ Ability to pass a police check
✅ Ability to provide an RMS driving history report
